Se diamo uno sguardo in Italia c’è chi a una squadra gloriosa non ha dato nemmeno un trofeo in venti anni, solo derby su derby persi. Sieti sicuri voi tifosi del Torino che questa petizione non vi interessi? O forse odiate a tal punto gli altri da non capire che siete sulla stessa barca?
Il calcio professionista, quello della serie A in Italia finanzia lo sport, in Europa è forse diverso? E se il calcio finanzia il sistema sportivo italiano ed europeo i tifosi che finanziano il calcio hanno o non hanno diritto ad essere rispettati, nelle loro storie, nel loro amore, nel loro tifo, nei tanti soldi spesi per finanziare il loro amore? Senza di loro non esisterebbero tanti sport, calcio compreso
Senza i tifosi, senza i loro sogni, peggio andando contro volutamente quei sogni, si costruisce un sistema che non va da nessuna parte o ora con la tranquillità apparente dei vostri proprietari americani, indonesiani, dei fondi o di chi cappero vi pare vi sentite al sicuro… ma sapete la storia? Basta qualche investimento sbagliato, qualche campionato finito male e tutti possono fallire o quasi e stare come stanno i laziali e quelli all’ombra della Mole Antonelliana… Veramente questo appello non vi riguarda?
Qui non si chiedeva la luna, non un presidente laziale ma un presidente che facesse con i suoi interessi anche quelli della Lazio e non è successo, peggio è successo l’esatto contrario. Eppure stiamo parlando di un presidente della Lazio che è stato di gran lunga il secondo per trofei vinti, 6 contro i 7 di Cragnotti, certo sportivamente meno importanti ma sempre trofei.
Ai tifosi italiani ed europei. Nessuno in Europa e al mondo era mai arrivato da abbonato a rifiutare per troppo amore di andare allo stadio. Credo sia cosa unica, ci dovevano pensare i figli di quei ribelli ed uguali che fondarono la Lazio contro la retorica del nazional provincialismo allora imperante. Io non conosco coloro che hanno fatto la petizione e ho poca dimestichezza per mettermi in contatto con loro ma c’è qualcuno tra chi legge che li conosce e può proporre loro di allargare la petizione a tutti i tifosi?

Does this appeal really not concern you?
We weren't asking for the moon here, not for a Lazio fans president, but for a president who would also look after Lazio's interests, not just his own. And that didn't happen; worse, the exact opposite happened. Yet we're talking about a Lazio president who was by far second in trophies won, 6 compared to Cragnotti's 7—certainly less important sportingly, but trophies nonetheless.
To the Italian and European fans. No one in Europe or anywhere else in the world had ever gone so far as to refuse, out of sheer love, to go to the stadium. I believe it's unique; the children of those rebels and equals who founded Lazio, against the rhetoric of national provincialism that prevailed at the time, had to think about it. I don't know the people who started the petition, and I'm too unfamiliar to contact them, but is there anyone reading this who knows them and can suggest they extend the petition to all fans?
